  • When will I receive my race pack?

All race numbers and timing chips are to be collected on the day.  Please make a note of your race number and head to the appropriate collection desk.  The collection desks will be open from 8am.  Number collection will also be available on Saturday between 10am and 2pm in the Sportshall at Outwood Academy. Your race number can be found here: ENTRY LIST

  • Where can I park?

For parking locations please click here. There is NO parking at Outwood Academy Portland.  It is your responsibility to get to the race on time. Please plan your journey before you set off and whatever mode of transport you use, allow extra time for delays or congestion. We suggest you aim to arrive at the event venue where the race starts no later than 09.00. to avoid peak time queues.  We suggest you familiarise yourself with the car parks around Worksop and have a contingency in place in case your chosen car park is full.  Where possible, please car share.   Please do not use the postcode for Outwood Academy in your sat nav or attempt to park there as you will be turned away. No parking is available at the school for runners or fun runners.  If street parking, please be courteous to residents and do not block driveways or park across corners.

  • Can I wear headphones?

We strongly advise against wearing headphones or using ipods/smartphones etc during the race. Runners do so at their own risk. If you choose to use such equipment, we please ask that you be vigilant at all times and to please turn the devices off before the start of the race so that you are able to hear any announcements.

  • Why can't I enter the Fun Run?

There is no Fun Run at this year's event.

  • Is there a cut off time for the Half Marathon?

Yes, the time limit for completing the course is 3 hours 15 minutes. The half marathon distance is a serious athletics endurance event which should not be undertaken without the proper training and preparation.  We therefore, strongly discourage participants who don't intend to complete the course within this time limit.  Any participants who haven't reached the last water station at 10 miles, in 2 hours 30 minutes after the race start, will be picked up by a sweeper vehicle and taken back to the finish.  If you refuse to get into the sweeper vehicle, your number will be recorded and you will be removed from the race.  From this point onward, you will be continuing independently of the event and at your own risk.  You will be recorded as a DNF in the race results.

  • Can I run with my dog?

For safety reasons, due to the large number of competitors, dogs will NOT be allowed to accompany runners in the Half Marathon.

  • Is there a minimum age for the Half Marathon?

Yes, the minimum age on race day is 17 years old.
